Quick answer

To check your Sui gas bill online, go to the official website of your gas company — sngpl.com.pk for Punjab, KP and Islamabad, or ssgc.com.pk for Sindh and Balochistan — open the duplicate bill option and enter the consumer number printed on an old bill. Pakistan's piped natural gas is supplied by two companies: SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited) and SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company). Both let you do a gas bill check online and print a duplicate bill for free using your consumer number. This guide explains which company serves you, where to find the consumer number, how to download and pay the bill, and what to do if the bill looks wrong.

SNGPL or SSGC — which is your gas company?

CompanyAreas servedOfficial website
SNGPLPunjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabadsngpl.com.pk
SSGCSindh and Balochistan (including Karachi)ssgc.com.pk

The company logo and name are printed at the top of your bill. Both companies share the helpline 1199 for billing and emergency complaints.

Find your consumer number

  • The consumer number is printed on every gas bill, near the top, next to "Consumer No." It is the only number you need for an online check.
  • For SNGPL it is an 11-digit number. SSGC consumer numbers are also printed on the bill — enter them exactly as shown, without spaces or dashes.
  • Do not use the meter number or the bill ID — only the consumer number works.

Lost all old bills? Call 1199 with the CNIC of the connection holder and the full address; the call centre can confirm your consumer number. Save a photo of the bill each month afterwards.

How to do an SNGPL gas bill check online

  1. Open the official SNGPL website sngpl.com.pk.
  2. Choose the duplicate bill / web bill option on the home page.
  3. Enter your 11-digit consumer number and the captcha if asked.
  4. Your bill opens with the payable amount, due date, amount after due date and gas units (HM³) used.
  5. Print it or save it as a PDF from your browser.

How to do an SSGC gas bill check online

  1. Open the official SSGC website ssgc.com.pk.
  2. Find the duplicate bill link in the customer services section.
  3. Enter your consumer number exactly as printed on your bill.
  4. View, print or download the bill.

How to pay your gas bill

Pay a few days before the due date. Online payments may take one or two working days to reflect in the company's record, and a late payment surcharge is added after the due date.

Understanding your gas bill

  • Units (HM³): gas is billed in hundred cubic metres. The bill shows previous and present meter readings — the difference is your consumption.
  • Slabs: domestic tariffs are slab-based, so a small increase in usage in winter can move you into a higher, more expensive slab. Compare the history section month by month.
  • Fixed charges and taxes: bills include fixed monthly charges, GST and other levies set by the government and OGRA.
  • Arrears: unpaid previous amounts are carried forward and can lead to disconnection notices.

Wrong reading or estimated bill?

  1. Photograph the meter reading and the meter number on the same day you receive the bill.
  2. Compare it with the "present reading" printed on the bill. Bills marked as estimated or average are common when the reader could not access the meter.
  3. Call 1199 or visit your local customer service centre with the bill and photo to request correction before the due date.
  4. If the company does not resolve it, you can complain to the gas regulator OGRA.

Gas leakage: if you smell gas, do not switch lights or appliances on or off, open windows and doors, close the main valve and call 1199 from outside the house.

Need your electricity bill as well? Follow our electricity bill check online guide for LESCO, MEPCO, IESCO, K-Electric and all other companies. For a new gas connection or a name change, keep a valid CNIC ready, and remember that some utility bills include advance income tax that depends on your filer status.
